This tea comes from the Bulang Mountains (布朗山) located in Menghai County (勐海县), within the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture (西双版纳傣族自治州) of Yunnan Province, China.


This region is situated in the southwestern part of Yunnan, near the border with Myanmar, and is one of the most famous and important areas for producing high-quality Pu-erh tea, especially from ancient arbor trees.
